UN security forces during this trip looking at the Lamco Iron mine site that was abandoned during the 14 year civil conflict in Liberia. The Nimba county is still under UN security level 4, hence the protection by UN troups.

This is where I lived as a small boy. It’s all gone now, the jungle has reclaimed the town. ‘Crazy Hans’ was the pilot. My father Björn Alenius was holding the camera.
